The experience
- Interactive shell — the default
cosexperience; just type to chat. - Command palette — type
/for a live-filtered, arrow-navigable command menu. - Sticky composer — the input bar stays pinned while the response streams in above it.
- Thinking indicator — animated phrases with helpful tips while a turn is processed.
- Branding — the CARRIER wordmark, brand-green accents, and a status footer.
- Arrow navigation & keyboard shortcuts — ↑↓ history, Tab complete, Enter run, Ctrl+C twice to exit.
Chat & context
- Provider & mode selection — arrow-key pickers for the model and the Carrier mode.
- Chat history — recall previous messages with ↑; read transcripts with
/history. - Session resume — conversations persist; the exit hint tells you how to pick one back up.
- Upload support —
/upload <file>adds files as searchable knowledge.
Configuration
- Configuration storage — your key and preferences live in
%APPDATA%/CarrierOS/config.json(or~/.carrieros/config.json) — only the API key, never a login token.
Supported platforms
The CLI is Windows-first, and runs anywhere Node.js 18+ does:
- Windows — the primary target (config under
%APPDATA%). - macOS — supported (config under
~/.carrieros). - Linux — supported (config under
~/.carrieros).
The CLI is in beta. Install it from the Installation page and follow the Quick Start.
