API Playground

Test the Public API from the dashboard — no code required. Pick a scope and key, choose a mode and model, send a message, and inspect the response and raw JSON.

Open the Playground

In the sidebar under Developer, open Playground. The configuration panel on the left sets up the request; the chat window on the right sends it.

Configure the request

  1. 1

    Select a workspace and project

These scope the request. The Playground loads the projects and keys that belong to them.
  2. 2

    Choose how to authenticate

Pick Session (your dashboard login, convenient for testing) or API key (exactly how your app will authenticate).
  3. 3

    Select an API key

When using key auth, choose one of the project's keys. The request is sent as Authorization: Bearer carrier_sk_….
  4. 4

    Pick a Carrier mode

The mode sets behavior (general, code, research, …).
  5. 5

    Optionally choose a provider model

Leave it on the mode default, or override it with a specific model.

Send a message and read the response

Type a prompt in the chat window and send it. You get:

  • Rendered answer — the assistant reply, formatted (Markdown + code blocks).
  • Raw JSON — the exact { success, data } envelope, including session_id and tokens_used, via the JSON viewer.
The Playground calls the same endpoints your code will. A message here is exactly a POST /v1/chat, so what works in the Playground works in your integration.

Continue the conversation

Follow-up messages reuse the returned session_id, so the model keeps context — the same behavior as Sessions in the API and CLI.

Requests you send here appear in Usage and Logs, so you can watch tokens and cost accrue in real time.
